1. About these terms
These Terms of Service form an agreement between you and Piot, the operator of piot.ai and the Piot app, based in Ireland. In these terms, “Piot”, “we”, and “us” refer to that operator. You can contact us at hello@piot.ai.
By creating an account or using Piot, you agree to these terms. If you use Piot for an organisation, you must have authority to act for it and to provide the information and permissions you share. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. Your account
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter this agreement. Provide accurate account information and keep your sign-in accounts and devices secure. You are responsible for activity you authorise through your account. Let us know promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.
Piot uses Google sign-in. Signing in identifies your Piot account; separately connecting Gmail, Google Drive, or Google Calendar grants the permissions shown in the connection flow. You may connect multiple accounts only when you have permission to use them.
3. AI assistance and actions
Piot uses AI to respond to requests, research information, work with connected services, and carry out tasks. Depending on your instructions and permissions, it can read information, send messages, change files, create or update events, and interact with websites.
Your instructions and enabled schedules can authorise actions without a separate confirmation for each step. Review your requests, selected accounts, permissions, and schedules carefully. Scheduled work can continue while the app is closed. Pausing a schedule or stopping a task does not undo actions that already completed.
AI responses can be incomplete, inaccurate, or out of date. Check important facts and results, and use particular care with actions affecting other people, money, confidential information, or irreversible changes. Piot is not a substitute for qualified medical, legal, financial, or other professional advice. It does not guarantee a particular outcome.
4. Connected services
Google and other third-party services have their own terms, policies, availability, limits, and charges. You must comply with those terms and have authority to access the relevant data and perform the requested actions. Piot is not endorsed by Google or other connected-service providers.
You can disconnect Google integrations in Settings → Connections and revoke Piot’s access in your Google Account permissions. Disconnecting stops future use of the removed connection; it does not retract messages, restore changed files, undo events, or erase previously saved conversations. Our Privacy Policy explains data deletion requests.
Third-party restrictions, revoked permissions, account changes, or service failures may prevent Piot from completing a task. Do not assume that retrying an interrupted action is safe; check whether the action already occurred.
5. Acceptable use
Use Piot lawfully and respect other people’s privacy, rights, and security. You must not use it to:
- Access accounts, systems, or information without permission, or bypass access controls.
- Send spam, conduct phishing, impersonate others deceptively, distribute malware, or commit fraud.
- Harass or exploit people, distribute unlawful content, or infringe intellectual property or confidentiality obligations.
- Interfere with the service, evade limits, compromise credentials, or attempt to obtain another user’s data.
- Use connected-account data for unlawful surveillance, advertising misuse, or other purposes prohibited by the relevant service’s policies.
Only submit or authorise access to information you are entitled to use. Avoid providing sensitive information that is unnecessary for your task.
6. Your content and rights
You retain your rights in the content you submit and in data from your connected accounts. You give Piot permission to process that content, send the relevant portions to service providers, and perform the actions needed to provide the features you request, as described in our Privacy Policy. This permission does not transfer ownership of your content to us.
You may use Piot’s responses subject to applicable law and third-party rights. AI output may resemble output provided to other users, and we do not guarantee that a response is unique, accurate, or free of third-party rights.
Piot’s software, branding, and service materials remain the property of Piot or their respective rights holders. These terms do not give you ownership of them or permission to misuse the Piot name or identity.
7. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains the information we process, why we process it, the providers involved, and your choices and rights. Your agreement to these terms does not replace any separate consent required for optional access or processing.
8. Availability and ending use
We may update, limit, or discontinue features, including experimental features. We aim to keep Piot available, but do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free operation, or the availability of any particular integration or AI model.
We may suspend or restrict access where reasonably necessary to address misuse, security risks, legal obligations, or a material breach of these terms. Where appropriate and lawful, we will explain the reason and allow you to contact us about it.
You can stop using Piot, pause or delete schedules, and disconnect integrations. To request account closure or deletion of your saved data, email hello@piot.ai. Signing out alone does not delete your account or saved data, or disable your schedules.
9. Responsibility and liability
To the extent permitted by law, Piot is provided on an “as available” basis without a promise that it will meet every requirement or produce a particular result. You remain responsible for the instructions and permissions you provide and for reviewing important outcomes.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or business losses such as lost profits arising from use of the service. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for fraud or death or personal injury caused by negligence, or your mandatory consumer rights.
10. Irish law and consumer rights
Irish law governs these terms. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of mandatory protections under the law of your usual country of residence or prevent you from bringing a claim in a court available to you under applicable law. Otherwise, disputes relating to these terms are subject to the courts of Ireland.
If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent the law permits.
11. Changes and contact
We may revise these terms as the service or applicable requirements change. We will update the date on this page and provide appropriate notice of material changes. Where required, we will seek your agreement before new terms apply.
For questions, complaints, or account requests, contact Piot in Ireland at hello@piot.ai.
